In the interest of full disclosure, and possibly contrary to popular belief, I do have a very special and entirely worthy valentine this year. Behold Oscar; as in, The 31 Days of, Turner Classic Movies, cable channel 57. Actually no, that’s not exactly right. Oscar, the pesky devil, is merely playing Cupid, aligning the stars with the heavens for a whole slew of lovely love affairs. Jimmy, Gary, Omar, and Jack; John, George, Cary, and Bob; Frank, Fred, Bing, Tony, Humphrey and Gregory and Bill. I’m entirely smitten, I’m no good to anyone, and at this rate I won’t get a bit of sleep til March.
